Artist Bio
Alex Mitchell is an encaustic painter living on the New Hampshire seacoast. Alex studied at Parsons School of Design in Paris, France and obtained her BFA from Maine College of Art. After college she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she designed graphics, web sites and software interfaces for over a dozen years.
Having left the high tech world behind, Alex now focuses exclusively on creating fine art. In addition to encaustic painting, Alex also creates pieces incorporating her love for photography, metalsmithing and sculpture.
Alex's art studio is located in the Salmon Falls Mills in Rollinsford NH. Studio visits are available by appointment only.
